A special event: The Nestor of gypsy jazz Fapy Lafertin with the upcoming talent Paulus Schäfer on one stage. Fapy is a born musician and he keeps his guitar playing youthful and sparkly by collaboration with younger musicians such as the violinist Tim Kliphuis and the guitarists Lollo Meijer and Paulus Schäfer. Fapy Lafertin has a special bond with Paulus. Tim Kliphuis wrote the following about it on the newly released CD “Twelfth Year” by Paulus Schäfer: “His singing tone, terrifying technique and well balanced solos made me immediately think of my days with Fapy Lafertin, who turned out to be Paulus’ mentor.”

Een bijzondere gebeurtenis: de nestor van de gipsy jazz Fapy Lafertin met het aanstormende talent Paulus Schäfer op een podium.Deze ras-muzikant weet zijn gitaarspel jong en sprankelend te houden en daar draagt zijn samenwerking met jongere muzikanten zoals de violist Tim Kliphuis en de gitaristen Lollo Meijer en Paulus Schäfer zeker aan bij.Met Paulus Schäfer heeft Fapy Lafertin een speciale band. De violist Tim Kliphuis schrijft op de zojuist verschenen CD “Twelfth Year” van Paulus Schäfer: “Zijn zingende toon, angstaanjagende techniek en goed uitgebalanceerde solo’s deden me direct denken aan mijn dagen met Fapy Lafertin,die Paulus’ mentor bleek te zijn”.
